Job Description

A successful bespoke residential developer is currently seeking a Technical Coordinator to join their team at their well-appointed head office in Surrey.

Established for over 20 years, the company is well renowned for their attention to detail and pride themselves on going the extra mile for customers. They develop across both Surrey and West Sussex, producing small to medium sized projects of executive townhouses or luxury apartments.

They are looking for a strong communicator who will contribute to a busy department and share their views on design. This is a smaller company who offer the opportunity to have a real impact and to gain good exposure to other departments across the business.

You will either be taking charge of 3-4 small projects or a large project of up 80 units.

The role, reporting to the Technical Manager, duties will include:

Managing external consultants (architects, structural engineers, M&E, suppliers etc.) to maintain the flow of information to keep projects on track.

Organising relevant information for submission to the NHBC in order to clear stipulated conditions, and to review any design errors that contradict them.

Managing project and design information relating to any planning conditions that have been applied to the project, passing on information to site where required.

Identifying potential problem areas of the project that could cause build-ability issues at later stages of the project.

Essential:

Prior experience with similar role in residential construction

Familiarity with NHBC and Building Regulations

Preferred:

Relevant Degree or HNC/HND qualification

Architecture or Civil Engineering background

Previous exposure to Housing Association new builds
