Job Description

A Senior Quantity Surveyor position has become available with a desirable, privately owned residential developer to join their commercial team. This is a key position in a closely knit and cohesive team which will have a meaningful impact on the direction of the business. A unique opportunity to join this successful organisation as they lead their market with exceptional sustained growth over the past three years. The quality of product and excellent customer care has been the hallmark of this growth. You will work directly with the commercial and production leads across multiple projects to drive the organisation forward in achieving its goals.


Other key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
  • Undertake cost analysis for project work
  • Assist in establishing the Directors requirements when undertake feasibility studies
  • Perform risk, value management and cost control
  • Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks
  • Prepare and analyse costings for tenders
  • Allocate work to subcontractors
  • Provide advice on contractual claims
  • Analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports
  • Value completed work and arrange payments
  • Maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use
  • Understand the implications of health and safety regulations
  • Site visits, assessments and projections for future work
