One of the country's leading residential developers are currently in the market for an established Senior Buyer to work as a key part of the commercial team for their Kent regional office.
With a raft of new projects set to start over the coming months, they are on target to remain building up to 600 homes a year from this office. It's an exciting time at the company who are now also branching out beyond traditional built housing and apartments, with four new timber frame projects soon to be underway.
They also have long-term projects in progress and due to start that will see thousands of new homes built across Kent providing much-needed living space with the formation of new communities.
Reporting to the Managing Buyer, you will have control of at least two projects of over 100 homes each. You will have responsibility for material procurement, the production of monthly budget control reports, procurement of hired plant, resolving various queries/dispute and liaison between the site and office departments.
The commercial team are well established with a very low turnover. With an ingrained culture to improve their staff, they invest heavily in further training and provide excellent facilities to be able to perform to the best of your ability.
You will ideally come from a background with a residential developer, or main contractor with residential experience. Any supporting qualifications in procurement or purchasing are highly advantageous, but they are happy to consider applicants based on experience alone.
In return, you could expect a base salary of up to £55,000 p.a. with a company car or allowance, 25 days annual leave, healthcare, entry into the share scheme, a contributory pension and many other perks.
