Job Description

A very reputable major house builder are currently seeking an Engineering Manager or Civil Engineering focused Technical Manager. Split between their well-appointed office in Middlesex, and on site in South Hampshire, you will oversee the design management and implementation of all related infrastructure of a huge new housing scheme producing over 2000 new properties.

 

Reporting to the Technical Director, you will be responsible for all the associated infrastructure relating to the development. From proposal to completion, you will own the entire scope of work, manage all client relationships including liaising with external agencies and take responsibility for the overall success of the project.

You will be required to liaise with all disciplines within the development team to ensure the effective communication of technical advice and to assist where required through the development process. You will also support them by providing service information, proposals, street lighting and postal address arrangements.

Other responsibilities will include attending and leading client meetings and public information sessions, working closely with and coordinating external consultants, meeting regularly with the in-house construction team and creating and reviewing drawings. Additionally you will be involved in Civils design, and use AUTO CAD, Microsoft Office packages to check drawings.


Essential:

Degree qualification in Civil Engineering (BSc or Equivalent)

Experience in Design Management

Exposure to local authorities, highways and/or drainage authorities advantageous
