Job Description

We are currently search for an Engineer to join a residential developer in Norwich.

As an Engineer you will be an integral part of the Technical Department, reporting to the Head of Technical. The Department will support you and develop you and give you clear objectives. Your role as Engineer will be to support a number of housing developments through the delivery of cost effective engineering solutions. You will need to be adaptable and strong in your management approach, with a consistent approach to managing external consultants.

The ideal candidate will be qualified to degree or HNC level or equivalent, in a civil engineering, structures or building-related discipline, with project experience, with some residential. It’s not essential that you have worked for a house builder, we would consider someone who has worked for a local authority or from within a civil engineering consultancy background, who can demonstrate a breadth of useful transferable skills gained during their time in the industry.

By way of technical experience, you will be conversant with current building regulations and CDM, and you will also have a thorough knowledge of the current EA/LLFA/Water Authority requirements, as well as those stipulated by Highway Authorities, such as regulations, best practice, and adoption agreements. We also require you to have some experience using AutoCAD, and if you have had any exposure to using drainage design packages, such as microdrainage, this would similarly be advantageous.
